Some of the handouts of the excellent presentations held on WSE 2008 are already available on the spearker's homepages. That's why I'd suggest to add a link to those homepages or presentation files in the sessions' section of warpstock.eu.

First: Thanks for using the forum!
Second: It's all about time. We need time to do either the linking to external sites or uploading the sessions into Michaels great extension (which does the rest automatically... cool.).
Third: We will certainly not link to external sites here. We prefer having everything in one place and make people link to us.  This is what the site was meant for after all... and as said: Either way takes time and we currently are more than busy in our jobs trying to catch up with the work being lost because of preparing and running WSE.
The presentations were already collected by Christian Langanke onsite during the event and the missing ones start being submitted by the speakers (even without sending out loads of reminders ...wow  ). We basically have them here and it just needs time to upload them. Be assured that you'll find news about it within the next couple of days.

Hi Thomas,
Sorry, I didn't want to hunt you. When you say that you have most of the presentation handouts and are going to place them on warpstock.eu then I'm quite relieved. With my proposal I only wanted to save you some work by adding links to speakers homepages.

no problem.
I wanted to do a little bit of the work during this weekend but to my surprise Michael already uploaded (and converted to PDF where necessary?) most of the presentations. Hmm... there's a glitch in mine, will fix it... anyway:
There you go! (A news item will be send out in the near future too I guess)
But: Linking to speakers homepages is not a bad idea at all - this could be done for the speakers descriptions as well, perhaps next year (and only for those who want to include a link of course). Never thought of that - thanks for the suggestion!

Actually, such a feature is already there. For each speaker, you can specify a company or organisation and a link to its homepage. The company/organisation is listed and automatically linked to the site. See Adrian's entry in the speaker list for example.
